we didn't go south on 35, we went north to 90 and crossed MN and SD to go to the badlands.

But you were going by the wind generators up in northern Iowa werent you? From the camera shot, the windmills were on the right. If they were on the right, then you should be heading south.

I'm confused.

Anyways...how'd you enjoy crossing SD? By the time you were finished going through there, did you want to stick an ice pick in your forehead?

those were actually mills from lower minnesota on the way into south dakota. we were headed west and the shot was from the drivers side, so they were on our left.

and yeah SD made me feel like i was insane.

No abortion clinics? Dude, there's no NOTHING! Does the whole state look like that? Holy crap! it doesn't even look like there's a population that can GET pregnant in South Dakota!

I'm such a big city girl...

Not even a roadside HoJo, or something?

I don't want to insult a whole state but...Bleccchhh.

I love the Badlands -- one of my favorite places to visit in this country.

Too bad the recent abortion ban is making me very reluctant to visit any more -- I don't want to give my money to a state that is so narrowminded.

The president of the Oglala Sioux Tribe on the Pine Ridge Reservation vows to "personally establish a Planned Parenthood clinic on my own land which is within the boundaries of the Pine Ridge Reservation where the State of South Dakota has absolutely no jurisdiction."
